avd manger permission need root

This is how I got it to work in Ubuntu 18.04

sudo apt install qemu-kvm

Add your user to kvm group using:

sudo adduser $USER kvm

If still showing permission denied:

sudo chown $USER /dev/kvm

Here is what the above code is Doing:
1. Create a new VM with the name “test”
2. Set the VM’s memory to 512MB
3. Set the VM’s CPU to 1
4. Set the VM’s OS type to Linux
5. Set the VM’s OS version to Ubuntu (64-bit)
6. Set the VM’s disk to be a qcow2 image
7. Set the VM’s disk image to be the Ubuntu ISO
8. Set the VM’s network to be a NAT network
9. Set the VM’s network to be the default NAT network
10. Start the VM
